Coursing Through…

July 29th, 2008 by wing-phoenix

Actually me and my friend were supposed to be signing up for a blog as one of our session requirement but surprise… surprise… everyone was soooo enthusiastic about it that the whole thing got jammed up leaving us with nothing to do but observe the screen as the speaker explained step-by-step on how to do stuff. Geez!

Yea-anyway, sorry for the long abandonment of the blog. Nothing really interesting happened in my life… except if you discounted the fact that I passed my CE and am graduating my M.Ed program this October. Aaa..nnd the fact that my little sis just tied the knots (and no, I have NOT and any rumours pertaining to that is yet to confirmed. No speculation please, hear it from me first)

Riiight…  speaking of knots. Did I just hear another tying the knots as well? Ha…ha.. you know who you are. No need to hide. Come out, come out wherever you are.

ATTENTION PEOPLE! DUE TO SLEEP DEPRIVATION AND SLIGHT BOREDOM PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE IGNORE THIS PERSON’S ENTRY. PLEASE… I BEGGED OF YOU.

Man, I need my bed now.

Bet yet, CHOCOLATE!!!!!

Yup, this one is for Amy. She could be very persuasive without even trying! I guess she the only one whom I can’t say no to. She and my devilish little sister, Nadia.

Anyway, yup life. Hectic, hectic, hectic, thus the lack of blog entry. Just recently, I sat for my Master’s exam and now awaiting the joyous moment of marking my students’ Midterm papers. That and the PMR folio. Yikes!

The great thing about this month would be that I’ll be going to Sarawak. A vacation? Hardly. It’s a working trip. But hey, at least I’m going to places, right?

Speaking of Sarawak, I asked my friend (who’s going with me) if we’re going to Muzium Kuching. When she said yes, I was soo very excited. In my mind I was imagining all those cute little cats awaiting me before my friend practically obliterate my fantasy by giving me a strange ‘Are-you-for-real?’ look before telling me the only "kucing" they have in the muzium would be statues of them! Arghhh, imagine my utter disappointment!!

Anyway, this is little update is for Amy (I said that already) Ha…ha… I update first. Now, you have to buy me lunch!!!

A Reflection of a Resolution

December 24th, 2006 by wing-phoenix

Let me say this once. I did NOT mean to neglect this!!!! Between school, assignments and personal life, I’m pretty much stretched out and dried up. Don’t even have time for my secret hobby, which-no-power-on-earth-is-going-to-convince-me-to-tell-you.

Anyway, if late last year there was a little reunion set up by the ex St. Marians, this year there was a reunion set up by the ex MPIK-UKians. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it due to the fact that I was already on my way to Singapore by the time I heard about it.

Not to blame anyone about it, though. This is strictly my fault, for being so lazy to access my Friendster and find out about it earlier.

Next in the agenda. Resolution!!! Yup, the big 2007 is here. Well, will be here in 6 days, 6 hours, 30 minutes, 41 seconds (if I read the chronometer right!) Yes, resolution!!! I’ve decided on one. Yaaay!!!My resolution for this year would be… to fulfil the last year’s resolution, and the year before that, and the other year before that, and the other-other year before that… you get my drift.

Wokey, getting off the ride here. Need something else to do, people to bother, cats to feed, tv programs to watch….

Oh, btw. I’m back in love!!!!!!

June 22nd, 2006 by wing-phoenix

A blog? What’s a blog? Do I have a blog? Oh yeah, I do. He.. he.. I guess Amy’s given up on trying to get me update my blog. Gomen ne.

Right! What has been going on in my life? Well, plenty I guess since I hardly update my blog and the fact that the last time I updated it was in January and things are bound to happen between January and now… ok, I got to put a fullstop here before I choke you to death.

Right! Things happen. What things? Give me a minute to recall… hmm… yup, right. School starts and it was ok. Life’s ok too. No major changes yet. Relationships? Doing fine. To conclude, everythings A-okay!!! He… he.. I’m not being very descriptive, am I?

Let me rephrase, then. School is a little hectic, being the middle of the year and are LOADS of things to do before the students go for their BIG exams. But everythings so far are under control. We had just done our Sports Day, first time in a stadium!!! Not so well-planned if you ask me. I miss our St. Mary’s sports day. Ahh… those good old days!!! And tomorrow, it’s parents-teachers day, where we teachers have the opportunity to meet the parents and talk all things about the students. Hah!!! Boy, do I have THINGS to say to their parents (which explains why the students are suddenly so goody-goody today! *evil gleam*)

I’m actually on my semester break from my masters degree. The semester will starts soon so I’m pretty much doing all I can to enjoy the break. (Yeah, as if I could) Got my exam result, it wasn’t as what I expected but I should be thankful since it was tough enough to juggle with my job and classes. I was disappointed because I hadn’t planned well thus the result. People told me that I was crazy to do four modules part time along with my unpredictable job. And boy, if only you people know how unpredictable a teacher’s job is now.

What to story-tell now. Life? Well, I’m serious when I say my life is pretty much ok. I recently went to Singapore to visit my little sister who’s working there. It was a nice visit, though very short. The people there are very nice to me. So, I could say I pretty much enjoyed the visit.

My love life? Hah! I can finally say to myself now that it was all over. That I’m no longer wondering whether or not I have a relationship. Nope, not going to say anymore on that. Suffice to say, I’m not looking for anything or anyone, especially romance-related, for the time being. Ok, that’s it. End of story.

On to other things. Heh… this might interest my fellow friends from Zero_G. I had just bought my first modelling kit!!! After getting tired of stalking and loitering the shop, drooling over the kits, saving-money, starving myself silly and stuff, I finally bought my dream kit, that is, the MG Wing Zero Gundam. Then, recently I found my other dream kit, this one a very rare find, a HG Gundam Epyon, which took me a second to decide that I must have.

Only thing now is that I have to find the time to assemble them…

Leaving 2005….

December 21st, 2005 by wing-phoenix

Ok, so I’ve been neglecting this. So it took my bestfriend Amy to remind me that I HAVE a blog!!! She said that’s the only way she know what’s going on with my life. Though, me think she could do it over the phone.

Oh, wait a minute! That’s right.

I was never the one who called!!! Dang!

Riight!! So what’s new in my life? School holidays!! That’s right. So what did I do during the holidays…uh… aside from sleep, eat, clean the house, feed the cats, going online… he.. he.. that’s basically what I do every day! Well, in absence of going to school, that is.

Oh, wait! *smacks head* I did do something out of the ordinary. Class reunion!!! (Well, it wouldn’t BE a reunion if people ordinary meet!) Anyway, yeah, reunion. What to talk about that…hmm? Yeah, it’s nice to see people from school again, looking so different and yet so same, xchanging stories and oh not to forget, reminding ourselves how OLD we are getting!!! Yeah, still it was nice. I think we profited Planet Hollywood with money as well as a big amount of noise. That’s St. Mary’s girls, for ya.

What else?

Oh! I was recently accepted to do my Masters degree at UPM. I’ve already registered my courses today, pay the fees, meet my advisors and am starting classes next week. Only thing is, my girlfriends are all finishing their studies by next year and I’m STARTING!!! It’s always like that, even when I was doing my first degree. Ai! Time to sweat it out, gal! Gambatte!!!

Yup, the coming of 2006. What do we learn from 2005, ah? Wait, let me rephrase that. What do I learn? Well, aside from putting my feet down and learn to say no when some of my colleagues ask more from me, there’s not much that I learned. Wait! I also learn that my sister Nadia won’t be coming back to Malaysia, being offered a permanent job in Australia (oh I so envy her) and the fact that my Zero_G pals can’t get enough of my cake. But those are different kind of learning. Oh, there’s one!!! I learned to go crazy with Gundam modelling, curtesy from my pals at Zero_G. But I still haven’t buy my first kit.

Well, basically those are the things I learned from 2005. There is one more but I’m not inclined to mention (Amy knows, though). And since there’s about…oh… one week left until 2006, I’m hoping I’ll be learning something till then.

Yup, thanks for your undivided attention over my ramblings. You can click the "BACK" button now and make like a tree and leave!!!

Ta!

Selamat Hari Raya

November 2nd, 2005 by wing-phoenix

Riiight… this is a quick post. Just want to wish Selamat Hari Raya to all. Now, I’m bowing out coz I need to help out with the preparations. Ta…

Things happen…

October 14th, 2005 by wing-phoenix

Opps! Neglected this again. It took Amy a phone call to remind me that I need to update my blog so my friends would know the latest about me.

*sigh*

A lot had happened in September ‘05. One of my cats, which happens to be my fav, died. He took a fall down my eight floor apartment. I was sooo devastated!!! And to think that the window he had fallen from was on top of my bed and I was sleeping at that time!!!! No wonder I woke up suddenly that morning, feeling empty. I tried to search for him after that but couldn’t so I thought that he had gone out the front door. To my shock, later in the evening after work, I found his body lying on the ground. I thought he was sleeping but when I tried to nudge him, it was already cold and stiff. Later I learned from a witness, he had fallen some time early that morning (while I was sleeping!)  And I cried for many days!! Now, no one is going to greet me at the door or accompany me watching tv or sleep with me, or to bother me while I am praying and I will never heard his loud, and sometime annoying meowing (he usually waoke me up in the middle of the night with it) The days after that, I refused to talk about it until the friends I have in Zero_G made me feel better. Arigato.

Then, in September, is PMR month. I found myself sitting in the exam room staring at the walls, looking like an idiot, yawning and nodding off like a little boy having his sahur. Yup, this is the real life senario of someone invigilating the major exams. What made everything worse was the fact that it was puasa month and I can’t have a munch or two *disappointment*. But wait!! Ah-ha! I seemed to remember packing and bringing over my students’ unmarked essay questions!! And that’s the way I tried to kill my boredom. Damn you, you evil thing!!

All in all, I was lucky enough not to get SPM. Trust me when I tell you this. It won’t be pretty. Yup, speaking from the experience of invigilating that particulay exam for TWO years!!!

Riightt!!! It’s time for me to sign off. Got papers to mark some more. So, Happy puasa month n have a nice…uh… life ^_^

Merdeka!!

August 26th, 2005 by wing-phoenix

Yikes! It’s August already. My, where have June and July gone? Oh yeah, they’re ancient history. He.. he.. I guess a lot of things happened in three months. Me finally get the vacation that I’ve been meaning to have for years (only to get hit by a rather exciting storm (?!) on our first day stay, well, I think it was exciting). Then when a girl finally returned to good old KL, everything turned topsy-turvy coz of the haze (Yeah, lame old story but this is MY blog, remember?) I nearly thought that we were going to choke to death then. I was ready to pack up and move up to the moon (the air should be better there, right? What am I talking about? There IS no air!!)

Anyway, we survived the haze (thank god!) now, if only we could survive the oil price increase!!! (Oops! I should stop at this before somebody from you-know-where censored this blog!! God forbids!!)

Let’s talk about a safer subject, Merdeka. Yup, it’s here again (and will go just the same). I could see a lot of car owners in my neighbourhood scrambling over the shop and their storeroom (looking for any spare flags I believe) and started to decorate their cars!!! If I’m not used to this already, I would’ve thought that there’s a car parade just around the corner. Well, yeah, I guess that’s how some people show their way of celebrating Merdeka Day. Me, well, you’ll find me sitting near my bedroom window, contemplating the true meaning of Merdeka. Is Merdeka really about raising our hand in the air and yelling "Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!"? (Ok, I better stop b4 I’m getting too controversional)

Alright, it’s dinner time. And I suddenly feel the need to feed myself. You might noticed that this time I had many remarks in columns (). Don’t mind those. It’s just my haze-affected brain.

Right, I better put a stop to all this babbling. So, ciao!!

Star Wars Fever

May 19th, 2005 by wing-phoenix

Okay, so Star Wars fever is finally here. Wow! Hey, if George Lucas hadn’t ruined the first two prequel, I might be jumping up and down already (like I did when Return of the King fever hit the world!!). But to say I’m not even feeling the fever would be a lie. I do. I mean, it’s the END (or beginning, depends on which angle you’re looking at) of a more-than-twenty-years movie making!!!

But to me, the fever simmer down a bit because it’s not Star Wars that I’ve been biting-my-fingernail-in-anticipation to see. Actually, it was Kingdom of Heaven, really (come on, people! Orlando’s first leading role!!!) Ehem, yeah, he truly delivers it nicely (for a first timer). But what caught my interest by the end of the movie is Liam Neeson and Edward Norton’s performance. Truly, TRULY, magical!!! I always love Neeson’s performance in Star Wars and like it even better here. And I usually don’t go gaga over Norton’s but here, I was awestruck!

Just hope the guys in Star Wars can make me feel the same. I can’t wait to see how Ewan McGregor’s doing his Ben Kenobi thing (Christensen too young for me and I still think he’s mediocre).

Oh, can’t wait for Elizabethtown later this year. And 2006’s The Pirates of Carribean: Deadman’s Chest. Why? Obviously!!!!

First Attempt

April 26th, 2005 by wing-phoenix

Okay, so I was never good at leaving things the way they are. When I saw the yellow hightlight on ‘Create Blog’ button, my fingers were itching to get to it eventhough I barely had any idea what does it do. And boy did I resist it. Then a few days later, I found myself eyeing it again and heard a voice from god-knows-where saying… "Yes, yes, click on the link, press the right button on the mouse…". So, here I am. And still have no idea what I’m doing.

Ai!
